Jayson Curry
LPC
Jayson Curry loves to work with adults and adolescents, particularly with struggles related to adult attachment and trauma, anxiety, depression, questions of faith, and grief. From Jayson's experience as a counselor and a client himself, he believes healing starts when there is a safe space and an empathetic listener engaged in the process. Jayson hopes to provide these things to each client he sits with. Jayson feels uniquely called to walk with clients through their healing from trauma. He is EMDR Trained and enjoys using that as a tool in the healing process. He also incorporates art and creative outlets as a tool in counseling.
Jayson is originally from Mobile, AL and currently lives in the bluff park area of Birmingham. He received his bachelor's degree in journalism from South Alabama and his Masters in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. He is married to Kristina and has 3 kids, Amina, Miles, and Oliver. Aside from counseling, Jayson has recently started selling his abstract and impressionist paintings at local markets.
