Tim VanRheenen
LMFT, MA of Counseling
Tim VanRheenen works with individuals and couples, with a focus on helping men and women navigate sexual issues. He is a certified Sexual Recovery Therapist through the American Association of Sex Addiction Therapy. Because of this work, he believes Christians must have a place to sort out topics that are often taboo or difficult to discuss.
Tim enjoys helping clients grow and deepen their relationship with God. He has advanced training in an approach called Lifespan Integration–useful for treating trauma, depression, anxiety, and attachment issues. Other areas of interest include helping clients in transitions, career and calling, identity, as well as understanding emotions like anger and how to clearly and safely express them. Tim enjoys the unique process of getting to know each client and forming a strong relationship that involves caring, challenge, and thoughtful questioning. When not counseling, Tim's favorite places are at home with his wife, Tiffany, and son, Arthur, or out in the woods on a trail, talking with friends about good books and ideas or watching a Philadelphia sports team lose.
